Commentary to Decree 70 of 17 February 2015
On 17 February Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko signed decree No. 70 introducing an addition and an amendment to decree No. 580 of 22 September 2006 “Concerning the payment of pensions to orphaned children and children without parental care brought up in foster families”.
In accordance with the document, orphaned children and children left without parental care brought up in family-type children’s homes will be entitled to full-size pensions just like the children brought up in other institutions.
According to the press service, the decree testifies to the state support and social protection of orphaned children and children without parental care.
The document shall enter into force on the first day of the month following the one during which it was officially published.
