Belarus sets up organizing committee for OSCE PA summer session 2017
A national organizing committee for the 26th annual
session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and
Cooperation in Europe has been set up in Belarus. Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko signed a corresponding executive order on 8 February.
Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Vladimir Andreichenko has been put in charge of the organizing committee. It will include more than 30 people, including ministers, heads of various departments and agencies.
The national organizing committee shall draw up the plan of action to prepare and hold the 26th annual session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, and ensure, in collaboration with other stakeholders, that this international forum should be held at the highest organizational level.
