Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent
greetings to weightlifter Vadim Streltsov who won an Olympic silver medal in Rio
de Janeiro.
“This is a good response to all doubts concerning the competitiveness of Belarus’ weightlifting today,” the head of state said. “By coping with the great psychological pressure in terms of tough competition with other athletes, you have demonstrated outstanding sports mastery, strong character, and the will to win,” the head of state noted.
“Thank you for this success which instilled confidence in the future of weightlifting in Belarus,” Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed.
The President wished Vadim Streltsov and the Belarusian weightlifting team strong health, happiness, and new scintillating victories.
