Belarus, Cuba mark 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations

On behalf of the Belarusian people and on his own behalf, President Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated Chairman of the State Council and the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Cuba Raul Castro and his people on the 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Belarus and Cuba.

Aleksandr Lukashenko noted that by joining efforts the countries made headway in political understanding and trust.

"Belarusian-Cuban cooperation is based on a solid foundation of traditional friendship and respect, on the unity of views and attitude to their national identity, independence, social justice, and equality," the message of congratulations reads.

"I am convinced that strategic partnership between Belarus and Cuba will be dynamically developing in the future," the President stressed.
