Belarus, Belgium mark 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations

    Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent greetings to King Philippe of Belgium on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations.

    “Within a quarter of a century the two countries have established productive ties in the economy, science, education, culture, and sport,” the head of state emphasized. The President expressed special gratitude to Belgian families which host children from Chernobyl-affected regions of Belarus for recuperation every year.

    Aleksandr Lukashenko expressed confidence that the friendly Belarus-Belgium relations will be expanding in the best interests of the two nations in the future.

    In his message of greetings to Aleksandr Lukashenko, King Philippe of Belgium remarked that during this period the countries have been doing their best to develop cooperation in various fields promoting mutual understanding.
