Belarus adopts additional measures to retain highly-qualified personnel at BelNPP
Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has signed a
decree on the measures to attract workers for the construction and operation of
the Belarusian nuclear power plant (BelNPP).
The document creates conditions for retaining highly-qualified personnel at the Belarusian nuclear power plant. In particular, the document permits foreign professionals working at the plant, meeting the definition “public officials” or applying for corresponding positions at this enterprise to have accounts in foreign banks.
Apart from that, foreign organizations that take part in the construction of the nuclear power plant and fulfill works (provide services) within the warranty period in line with the general contract on the construction of the BelNPP are entitled to involve foreign workforce and get special employment permits in accordance with the procedure established for legal entities in Belarus.
