Aleksandr Lukashenko wishes Happy Victory Day to foreign leaders
In the run-up to the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent greetings to foreign leaders, influential public figures and heads of integration associations.
“This date is very important for us,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said in a message of greetings addressed to President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. “We will never forget those who fought shoulder to shoulder to make Victory Day closer, those who gave their lives in the name of peace on Earth. Russian and Belarusian people cherish the memory of the great feat of our fathers and grandfathers,” the Belarusian President said.
Aleksandr Lukashenko has also sent greetings to Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev, Armenia President Serzh Sargsyan, Georgia President Giorgi Margvelashvili, Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev, Kyrgyzstan President Almazbek Atambayev, Moldova President Nicolae Timofti, Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon, Turkmenistan President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, Uzbekistan President Islam Karimov and Ukraine President Petro Poroshenko.
Apart from that, the Belarusian head of state wished Happy Victory Day to Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Union State and Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev, Chairperson of the Federation Council of the Russian Federal Assembly Valentina Matviyenko, Chairman of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Belarus-Russia Union State and Chairman of the State Duma of Russia Sergei Naryshkin, Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill.
Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent his best greetings to Head of the Russian President Administration Sergei Ivanov, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Sergei Lavrov, State Secretary of the Union State Grigory Rapota, Chairman of the Executive Committee – Executive Secretary of the Commonwealth of Independent States Sergei Lebedev, Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Nikolai Bordyuzha.
