Aleksandr Lukashenko signs decree on passing Paris climate change deal by Belarus
On 20 September Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko
signed the decree on the passing of the Paris Agreement adopted at the
21st session of the Conference of the United Nations Framework
Convention on Climate Change in Paris on 12 December 2015 and 22 April
2016.
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection has been authorized to fulfill Belarus’ obligations within the framework of the Paris Agreement.
The Council of Ministers has been authorized to take measures for the implementation of the Paris Agreement.
The decree enters into force after its official publication.
