This great holiday is the incarnation of outstanding heroism of the Soviet people during the Great Patriotic War and elation of peoples saved from enslavement.
The most horrible war in the history of mankind left traces in every Belarusian family. The Brest Fortress and Buinichi Field, mass resistance movement and Operation Bagration, Trostenets and Khatyn are not only milestones in war history, but also a testimony to exceptional courage of our people. The people have survived and won, brought the land soaked with blood back to life, restored the devastated economy.
Eternal glory to the heroes! Their heroic deed will be always remembered by thankful descendants.
Respect for the generation of victors, continuity of glorious war and labor traditions are the manifestations of our loyalty to their precepts to protect peace, security and wellbeing of the Motherland.
