Aleksandr Lukashenko sends Unity Day greetings to Dmitry Medvedev
Chairman of the Supreme State Council of the Union State, President of the Republic of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev on the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Belarus and Russia.
"Pursuing the course of further development of integration fully meets the interests of the peoples of Belarus and Russia," the message of congratulations runs. Aleksandr Lukashenko expressed confidence that in the future the activities of Dmitry Medvedev will help solve urgent issues of the Belarusian-Russian cooperation for the benefit of the peoples of the two states.
The Belarusian head of state has also congratulated Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Union State, Russian Prime Minister and president-elect Vladimir Putin on the Unity Day.
"The Belarusian-Russian integration has provided ample opportunities for the development of mutually beneficial allied relations between our countries," Aleksandr Lukashenko believes.
"To a large extent our active position helped us achieve good results in all-round cooperation. I am convinced that in the future our joint efforts will contribute to promoting integration in order to ensure stable and safe life of Belarusians and Russians," the President noted.
Aleksandr Lukashenko has also sent Unity Day greetings to Chairperson of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation Valentina Matviyenko, Chairman of of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Sergei Naryshkin, Patriarch of Moscow and All-Russia Kirill, State Secretary of the Union State Grigory Rapota, and other politicians.
