Aleksandr Lukashenko sends October Revolution Day greetings

    Dear fellow citizens,

I cordially congratulate you on the 95th anniversary of the October Revolution.

For us this day was and still is a cherished holiday, a symbol of eagerness of millions of people to fulfil their dreams of a new world based on the principles of respect of a person of labor, equality and justice. Our people will never forget that the Great October gave them the right for self-identification and statehood as it became the foundation, on which we built the sovereign Republic of Belarus.

Today 7 November is, first of all, the holiday of new buildings and labor gifts. In these days new metro stations open in Minsk, modern enterprises and social facilities are put into operation in the entire country. This is a testimony to the fact that our state develops successfully going the right way to the main goal of creating strong and prosperous Belarus, a reliable and cozy home for us an our children.

I wish you to celebrate his holiday with good mood. May it remind you about the Soviet past full of many glorious deeds and achievements. May it give an opportunity to feel joy of living on the peaceful Belarusian soil and think about future plans and about what we will have to do for the benefit of our dear Homeland.

I wish you health, success, happiness and well-being, dear friends.

    Aleksandr Lukashenko
