Aleksandr Lukashenko sends National Day greetings to China

President of the Republic of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated President of the People’s Republic of China Hu Jintao on the National Day.

According to the message of greetings, Belarus genuinely rejoices at growing influence of China in the international arena and at impressive achievements of the Chinese people made under the wise leadership of the Communist Party.

Aleksandr Lukashenko expressed confidence that the decisions made at the forthcoming 18^th session of the Communist Party of China will help define new grandiose goals regarding the country’s development for the next five-year term. The Belarusian President wished the attendees of the session successful and fruitful work.

The Belarusian head of state thanked Hu Jintao for his huge contribution to fostering Belarusian-Chinese ties and assured that the cooperation with Greater China will remain the main vector of the Belarusian foreign policy.

The President of Belarus stressed: “We are very grateful to fraternal China for unfailing support of the Belarusian policy to strengthen the sovereignty of the country. We highly appreciate strategic partnership based on mutual trust, sincere respect, and interest in each other.”
