Aleksandr Lukashenko sends greetings to USSR cosmonaut Valentina Tereshkova

President of the Republic of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent a letter of greetings to USSR pilot-cosmonaut, Hero of the Soviet Union Valentina Tereshkova on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of her individual orbital spaceflight.

“People in Belarus know and appreciate you as an old and good friend of the country. I am convinced that your knowledge, experience and high authority will further contribute to the enhancement of friendship and cooperation between the fraternal nations,” the felicitation message reads.

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished Valentina Tereshkova health, wellbeing and every success in all undertakings.
