Aleksandr Lukashenko sends greetings to participants of Union State congress of writers
Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent greetings to the
delegates and participants of the 2nd Union State Congress of the
Union of Writers.
“You are doing a great thing as you help promote friendship and understanding between the nations of Belarus and Russia, build a common cultural space, protect noble esthetic and moral ideals,” the message of greetings reads.
Aleksandr Lukashenko remarked that the Union of Writers has implemented a number of successful projects. “By your efforts the translations of the best works of Belarusian authors are regularly published in Russian editions, and Belarusian readers have an opportunity to enjoy the books of Russian poets, writers, and publicists,” the head of state noted.
The President expressed confidence that the work of the Union of Writers will promote the development and mutual enrichment of the Belarusian and Russian literature.
