Aleksandr Lukashenko sends greetings to participants of Baku 2015 European Games
President of the Republic of Belarus, President of the National Olympic Committee Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent greetings to the participants of the Baku 2015 European Games.
“Belarus was one of the countries to support the idea of holding this large-scale forum of the Old World. In 2011 Minsk hosted a session of the Executive Committee of the European Olympic Committees to discuss the project. In 2012 it was approved by the General Assembly of the European Olympic Committees,” the message of greetings reads.
“Therefore, the march of our delegation with the national flag across the Olympic stadium in the hospitable capital of Azerbaijan, Baku, will be a solemn and very pleasant event for us. Athletes will compete for the medals of the European Games for the first time; the names of all participants of the competition will be inscribed in the chronicles of sport,” Aleksandr Lukashenko noted.
