Aleksandr Lukashenko sends greetings to Iosif Kobzon

President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent a letter of birthday greetings to People's Artist of the USSR Iosif Kobzon.

"Your life is an example of a strong civil position, patriotism and unfailing fidelity to the ideals of true art. Thanks to the wonderful voice, big professionalism and heartfelt manner of singing you became one of the greatest masters of the stage whose songs are appreciated by many generations of people," the head of state said.

"People in Belarus appreciate and respect your creative and social activity. I am convinced that you will further contribute to strengthening friendship and expanding cultural ties between the two nations," the felicitation message reads.
