Aleksandr Lukashenko sends greetings to FIE President Alisher Usmanov

President of the Republic of Belarus, President of the National Olympic Committee Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent greetings to President of the International Fencing Federation Alisher Usmanov as the organization celebrates the 100th anniversary.

“This classical sport which is included in the program of all modern Olympic Games is meant for brave and noble people. Belarusian fencers Yelena Belova, Tatyana Samusenko, Viktor Sidyak, Alexander Romankov and others whose achievements made Belarus famous are among the most famous fencers in the world,” the message of greetings reads.

“Let this anniversary become an important event in raising the authority of fencing in the Olympic movement and in the enrichment of its glorious traditions,” Aleksandr Lukashenko wished.
