Aleksandr Lukashenko sends Fatherland Defenders’ Day greetings
Dear fellow citizens,
Distinguished soldiers and veterans of the Armed Forces,
I cordially congratulate you on Fatherland Defenders’ Day and the 95th anniversary of the Armed forces of the Republic of Belarus.
From the earliest times Belarus treasured military work. Protection of the Homeland has always been, is and will be the sacred duty of a true citizen and patriot. The army will be a genuine pride of the nation.
Today we are grateful to the veterans of the Great Patriotic War and the Armed Forces of all generations.
We honor soldiers of the modern army, whose professional excellence and splendid military training ensure military security of the country.
I sincerely thank all the people who make their contribution to strengthening the state and enriching its national heritage regardless of their vocation.
We are peaceful people. There is no bigger joy for us than to live peacefully and work in our native land. Our Armed Forces will always be a reliable guarantor of the country’s protection.
I wish you happiness, peace, kindness, every success in service and labor for the benefit of dear Belarus.
