Aleksandr Lukashenko sends Border Guard’s Day greetings to Belarusian border troops

    President of the Republic of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent greetings to the senior staff, soldiers and veterans of the Belarusian border service as they celebrate their professional holiday – Border Guard’s Day.

    “In the year when the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory is celebrated you continue glorious traditions of the border guards of our Motherland who heroically faced the first blow of Nazi invaders on the Soviet land. The enhancement of borders of independent Belarus is of paramount importance today. By fulfilling their duty, border protection agencies thwart illegal migration and drug dealing, prevent the spread of international terrorism. Further improvement of the border protection system, enhancement of combat and moral readiness of the troops help fulfill these tasks. I am convinced that your patriotism and professionalism, commitment to the military duty will help you ensure the inviolability of the border of the Fatherland,” the message of greetings reads.

    The head of state thanked the veterans who have dedicated their lives to border service.
