President of the Republic of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent a letter of birthday greetings to People's Artist of the USSR Edita Piekha.

"You are one of the best representatives of the cohort of great masters of singing, who made this genre high art," the head of state noted.

"People in Belarus appreciate you as a wonderful artist and a good friend of our country," the message of congratulations reads. The head of state is confident that Edita Piekha will further contribute to the development of cultural ties between Belarus and Russia.
