Aleksandr Lukashenko sends birthday greetings to Fidel Castro Ruz

On behalf of the Belarusian people and on his own behalf, President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent a letter of birthday greetings to Fidel Castro Ruz.

“In April 2012 Belarus and Cuba marked the 20th anniversary of establishing diplomatic ties. Over this period the Belarus-Cuba relations based on the principles of friendship, mutual understanding and trust, have reached a high level of strategic partnership,” the felicitation message reads.

Aleksandr Lukashenko expressed confidence that the meetings and agreements reached during the official visit will give a new impetus for expanding the multifaceted cooperation between the two countries.
