Aleksandr Lukashenko sends Belarus-Russia Unity Day greetings to Vladimir Putin

    Chairman of the Supreme State Council of the UnionState, President of the Republic of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on the Day of Unity of Peoples of Belarus and Russia.

    “This holiday embodies age-old friendship of Belarusian and Russian people, spiritual closeness, a common historical choice of the development pattern. UnionState relations are the foundation for bolstering mutually beneficial cooperation in all areas, implementation of significant joint projects, proliferation of the two states,” the message of greetings reads.

    Aleksandr Lukashenko expressed confidence that the trustworthy and constructive dialogue between Belarus and Russia concerning all important issues will help promote integration processes in the UnionState and the Eurasian Economic Union.

    The Belarusian head of state also sent Unity Day greetings to Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Union State, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of Russia Valentina Matviyenko, Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of Russia Sergei Naryshkin, Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill, State Secretary of the Union State Grigory Rapota, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Russia, head of the Communist Party faction in the Russian parliament Gennady Zyuganov.
