Aleksandr Lukashenko receives Independence Day greetings from foreign leaders
Foreign leaders, famous public and political figures are sending greetings to Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko and the Belarusian people on the occasion of the Independence Day and the 71st anniversary of Belarus' liberation from the Nazi invaders.
Messages of felicitation have been sent by the heads of state of the CIS countries, the President of China, the Chairman of the State Council and the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Cuba, the Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the King of Sweden, the Emperor of Japan, the Presidents of Vietnam, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Myanmar, Palestine, the Republic of Korea, Serbia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Switzerland.
The Independence Day greetings have been sent by Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill, Prince and Grand Master of the Sovereign Military Hospitaller Order of Saint John of Jerusalem of Rhodes and of Malta, the Secretary General of the United Nations.
“The state holiday of the Republic of Belarus, which is celebrated on the day of the country's liberation from the Nazi invaders, carries the memory of the Great Victory that our peoples achieved seven decades ago. Based on the strong traditions of friendship and solidarity, the Russian-Belarusian relations continue to develop dynamically. The bilateral cooperation in various fields and the integration within the framework of the Union State and the Eurasian Economic Union have been beneficial. I am sure that together, we will further expand the whole range of partnership relations between Russia and Belarus,” reads a message of felicitation from President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
In his message, President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping noted that new prospects open up for cooperation between Belarus and China in different areas. Mr Xi Jinping expressed his readiness to raise the Chinese-Belarusian relations to a new level for the benefit of the twp states and peoples.
