Aleksandr Lukashenko offers condolences on passing of Rem Vyakhirev

President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has offered condolences to the family and friends of Rem Vyakhirev.

“It is with great sorrow that people in Belarus have learned the news of the passing of Rem Ivanovich Vyakhirev, public activist and talented leader, who made a huge contribution to the development of the oil and gas industry in Russia. Being the founder and head of Gazprom which holds the leading positions in the global energy sector today, Rem Ivanovich did his utmost to enhance and promote Belarus-Russia cooperation. He was awarded the Belarusian state decoration, the Order of Honor, for his service to our country,” the message of condolences reads.
