Aleksandr Lukashenko meets with Sofrino's Director General

    On 16 January President of the Republic of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko met with Yevgeny Parkhayev, Director General of Sofrino limited liability company of the Russian Orthodox Church (the Russian Federation).

    Aleksandr Lukashenko awarded Yevgeny Parkhayev with an official letter of thanks of the President of Belarus and a special present. Sofrino's head was honored for his strenuous efforts to preserve the best church art traditions, great contribution to the restoration of churches and monasteries, enhancement of business and cultural ties with Belarus.

    Yevgeny Parkhayev, in turn, remarked that this is a true honor for Sofrino, which is the largest enterprise in the Orthodox community today.

    Sofrino makes icons, church vessels, candles, clerical garments, furniture, souvenirs, and liturgical literature. Sofrino's products adorn churches in Russia and abroad.

    Yevgeny Parkhayev has been the Director General of Sofrino since 1987.
