Aleksandr Lukashenko meets with Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith

Belarus and Laos should establish direct contacts in trade. The statement was made by President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko as he met with Thongloun Sisoulith, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Laos, in Minsk on 3 June.
“I am glad that the Laos president will visit Belarus soon. It is very good because we are about to establish direct contacts between Belarus and Laos,” said the Belarusian head of state.
Aleksandr Lukashenko noted that in the past contacts sometimes were carried out via Vietnam, however, at present the countries can cooperate directly in many areas.
The President also pointed out the friendly relations that evolved between Belarus and Laos a long time ago.
In turn, Thongloun Sisoulith underlined the importance of the forthcoming visit of the Laos president to Belarus for bolstering fruitful cooperation.
