Aleksandr Lukashenko holds meeting with Kazakhstan Ambassador

    Belarus and Kazakhstan are actively cooperating in integration organizations, President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko said as he met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Belarus Anatoly Smirnov who is concluding his diplomatic mission in Belarus.

    "Belarus and Kazakhstan are members of the most economically integrated organization and the military and political organization," Aleksandr Lukashenko remarked.

    The head of state thanked the Ambassador of Kazakhstan for his profound contribution to the development of Belarus-Kazakhstan cooperation.

    Aleksandr Lukashenko expressed confidence that the ambassador should seek to improve relations between his country and the country of stay, to identify and solve problems. However, it is not always like that.

    Anatoly Smirnov noted that despite global crisis Belarus and Kazakhstan have advanced significantly, especially, in trade and economy. The diplomat stressed that Kazakhstan will promote mutually beneficial cooperation, boost trade and economic interaction with Belarus.

    In terms of export, Kazakhstan is third largest partner of the Republic of Belarus in the CIS. Belarus sees Kazakhstan as a foothold for building up exports to Central Asia.
