Aleksandr Lukashenko extends condolences over passing of Vladimir Stelmashonok

    President of the Republic of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has expressed his deepest condolences to the family and friends of People’s Painter of Belarus Vladimir Stelmashonok in connection with his passing.

    “One of the patriarchs of Belarusian painting who made a huge contribution to modern fine art passed away. His impressive paintings, monumental frescos, mosaics and stained glass windows which highlight the depth of patriotic feelings, amplitude and boldness of creative ideas and perfect techniques made a great input in the national culture,” the message of condolences reads. “Creative work of Vladimir Stelmashonok will always be a source of inspiration for the talented youth of the country. The blessed memory of Vladimir Ivanovich Stelmashonok, a wonderful painter and citizen, will never die down in the hearts of Belarusians,” the head of state said.
