Nowadays knowledge, indomitable creative spirit and desire to learn something new turned into the major driving force of civilization progress. Daring discoveries, bold ideas and breakthrough inventions transform the modern world and are the foundation of economic achievements and social progress.

Improvement of science, preservation and enrichment of research schools’ traditions, enhancing ties between scientists and manufacturers are the priorities of the state policy. Thanks to the state support Belarusian researchers succeeded in outer space exploration, development of information and other sophisticated technologies, creation of unique nanomaterials, working out state-of-the-art treatment methods, finding solutions to many urgent problems.

I am convinced that you will continue working in the most efficient and productive way. Scientists should make a bigger contribution to the innovative development of the country and industrial upgrade.
