Aleksandr Lukashenko congratulates Xi Jinping on appointment as China Communist Party leader

Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated Xi Jinping on his appointment as Secretary General of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.

“With great pleasure I recall our meeting which took place as part of your official visit to Minsk in March 2010, your sincere and committed relation to Belarus, high praise of the bilateral cooperation potential and its development prospects. I note with satisfaction that the Belarusian-Chinese strategic partnership has got a strong impetus on the basis of our agreements. We have built a solid foundation for the development of all areas of bilateral relations and, first of all, for the implementation of new big investment projects,” the message of greetings reads.

“I hope that your unfailing support will help promote and expand fruitful fraternal ties between the two countries,” the head of state noted.

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished Xi Jinping every success in his responsible work to fulfill large-scale plans defined at the 18^th session of the China Communist Party, strong health, and happiness. The Belarusian head of state also wished prosperity to the Chinese people.
