Aleksandr Lukashenko congratulates Venezuela on Independence Day

On behalf of the Belarusian people and on his own behalf, President Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Hugo Chávez and his people on Independence Day.

“Belarus attaches great importance to mutually beneficial cooperation with Venezuela. The two states have made great headway over 15 years of diplomatic relations,” the message of congratulations reads.

The Belarusian head of state noted that both the sides maintain close contacts at a high level, expand business cooperation, intensify humanitarian exchanges, successfully cooperate in the UN and other international organizations.

Aleksandr Lukashenko expressed confidence in future fruitful bilateral partnership in political, trade, economic, cultural and other areas.
