Aleksandr Lukashenko awards distinguished Belarusian athletes
President of the Republic of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko presented state awards to ice hockey players and coaches in recognition of their big personal contribution to the development of sport in Belarus, attainment of good results, social activities.
In particular, the Medal for Excellent Labor has been conferred on chief coach and coaching athlete of the Neman ice hockey club Oleg Malashevich and Vyacheslav Lisichkin, chief coach of the Bobruisk’s Dinamo-Shinnik of the Dinamo-Minsk hockey club Alexander Makritsky, coach of the Yunost-Minsk ice hockey club Vadimir Melenchuk, coaching athlete of the Metallurg-Zhlobin ice hockey club Alexei Plotnikov, coaching athlete of the Gomel ice hockey club Sergei Stas, member of the Belarus President’s ice hockey team Sergei Shabanov.
The Honored Master of Sport of Belarus title is bestowed upon sport director of the Shakhter ice hockey club Alexander Alekseyev, coach and teacher of specialized school of Olympic reserve No. 5 Yevgeny Letov, coach of the Shakhter ice hockey club Vladimir Svito, coaching athlete of the Yunost-Minsk ice hockey club Maxim Slysh.
The President officially thanked coach of the Dinamo children’s school Andrei Kovalev, coaching athlete of the Metallurg-Zhlobin ice hockey club Alexander Ryadinsky, member of the Belarus President’s ice hockey team Alexei Titovets in recognition of their splendid sports results and a big contribution to the development of sport in Belarus.
