Aleksandr Lukashenko approves resolution of culture and art support fund
President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has signed an executive order to approve the resolution of the Culture and Art Support Fund of the President of the Republic of Belarus. The fund allocated Br996.486 million to implement a number of socially important creative and cultural projects.
A total of Br125.5 million has been provided to the Belarusian State Academic Musical Theater to stage the ballet "Under Dream Sail". The center of visual and performing arts will be given Br60 million to stage the performance "The Boat of Despair" by Vladimir Korotkevich. The National Academic Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theater will receive Br51 million to pay royalty to composer Vyacheslav Kuznetsov for the Vitovt ballet score.
The executive order also endorsed petitions of the National Arts Museum of the Republic of Belarus and the Museum of the History of Minsk to finance the publication of art albums "Pavel Maslenikov. A Portrait of an Artist in the Mirror of Time" (Br190.553 million) and "Ivan Misko" (Br221.8 million).
The national museum of theater and music history will receive Br24.273 million to restore the collection of movie posters. The Polotsk history and culture museum will get Br127 million to buy new paintings. The Smorgon museum of local history will receive Br15 million to buy the bust of People's Artist of the USSR and BSSR Viktor Rovdo. The National Library of Belarus will get Br77.4 million to buy old printed books. The fund will provide Br59.36 million to the Gomel State Circus to buy musical instruments.
The presidential fund will also provide Br44.6 million to organize professional training abroad for pedagogues and a doctoral candidate of the Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts.
The executive order will help provide targeted state support to implement the most important projects in culture and arts.
