On Strengthening Social Support of Some Categories of People
On 30 December President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko signed Decree No. 616 "On strengthening Social Support of Some Categories of People".
The document aims to ensure effective state support of families (persons) bringing up children over the age of three (low-income families), taking care of disabled children under the age of 18, children under the age of 18 living with HIV, group 1 disabled persons, people aged over 80 years.
In accordance with the Decree, a monthly child care benefit for children over the age of three brought up in low-income families increases to 50% of the highest amount of the minimum subsistence budget (MSB) on average per capita.
A monthly benefit for disabled children under the age of 18 increases to 100% of the MSB.
A monthly benefit for children under the age of 18 living with HIV increases to 70% of the MSB.
A monthly benefit for group 1 disabled persons or persons aged over 80 years increases to 100% of the MSB. The benefit awarded for two and more afore-mentioned categories is raised to 120% of the minimum subsistence budget.
The Decree will help raise social security of the most vulnerable categories of people.
