Condolences over passing of People’s Artist of USSR Zurab Sotkilava
Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has expressed
condolences to the family and friends of the People’s Artist of the USSR Zurab
Sotkilava.
“Please accept my deep condolences over the passing of an outstanding singer, teacher, public figure and great person,” the message of condolences reads.
The head of state remarked that Zurab Sotkilava had a bright and eventful life, reached professional heights, and added an unforgettable page in the history book of modern opera art. “His creative work was strongly appreciated by listeners and colleagues. He trained several generations of young artists and was an example of selfless service to the Homeland,” the Belarusian leader stressed.
