Belarus President makes new appointments

    Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko made new appointments on 7 December.

    The head of state appointed:

    Vladimir Astapenko Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Argentina with concurrent accreditation in Uruguay;

    Alexander Sidoruk Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of South Africa with concurrent accreditation in Angola, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, and Namibia.

    The president also approved the appointment of:

    Sergei Redyuk as Head of the Sovetsky District Administration of Gomel;

    Dmitry Lebed as Head of the Tsentralny District Administration of Gomel;

    Sergei Savitsky as Chairman of the Uzda District Executive Committee;

    Sergei Kulagin as Chairman of the Gorki District Executive Committee;

    Leonid Batyanovsky as Belarus’ Consul General to Guangzhou (the People’s Republic of China).

    Alina Korbut as Rector of the BelarusianStateUniversity of Culture and Arts;

    Irina Kiturko as Rector of the YankaKupalaGrodnoStateUniversity;

    Andrei Kartun as Deputy Minister of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade;

    Andrei Khmel as Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection;

    Ivan Smilgin as Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food – Director of the Veterinary and Food Control Department;

    Mikhail Mironchik as Director of the Education Quality Control Department at the Education Ministry;

    Mikhail Puchilo as Director General of ZAO Belarusian Oil Company;

    Gennady Grebnev as a member of the Vitebsk Oblast Executive Committee.
