Belarus passes state investment program for 2019

    Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has signed a decree to approve a state investment program for 2019.

    The investment program features 113 facilities. Br511 million is to be earmarked for their financing this year (including Br189 million worth of state capital investments, Br80 million from the state targeted budget fund for national development, Br80 million from the Reserve Fund of the Belarus President, Br95 million from the Belarusian Road Fund, Br46 million out of the funds for the preservation and expansion of arable lands.

    The program envisages the concentration of funds on the facilities to be commissioned in 2019 and on the projects nearing completion.

    In accordance with the 2019 program, the government will finance the construction (renovation) of 26 facilities, including a surgery and transplant surgery department in Minsk, a 1,030-bed dormitory for Grodno State University, a regional cancer hospital in Grodno, a rental house for healthcare personnel in the village of Andreyevshchina in Orsha District, 9 houses for foster families, a bridge across the Pina River along the P6 road Ivatsevichi-Pinsk-Stolin and an alternative overpass in Yakubovskogo Street in Mogilev.

    All in all, 42 facilities are to be commissioned in 2019.
