In connection with the passing of People’s Artist of the U.S.S.R. Lyudmila Zykina, President Alexander Lukashenko has extended his heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of this outstanding singer.

‘Lyudmila Zykina has made history in modern culture as a unique and multifaceted personality whose name is associated with the success and golden age of the Russian song. Her strong, soul-stirring voice, heart-swelling manner of performing, great personal charm and beauty won the hearts and minds of millions of listeners,’ said the President in his letter of condolence.

‘We knew and loved Lyudmila Zykina as an outstanding artiste and a true friend of our country, whose art purified and elevated people’s hearts, helped reinforce the brotherly friendship and cultural ties between the peoples.
