Distinguished active members and veterans of the customs service,

Please accept my sincere congratulations on your professional holiday, Customs Officer’s Day.

Over the years of independence, the Republic of Belarus has formed a modern-day customs service. The essential legislative framework and the appropriate infrastructure have been created; advanced customs clearance methods have been implemented.

Today the customs bodies occupy an important place in regulating this country’s international trade, contributing to the national budget, stemming transboundary crime, consolidating the security of the state and ensuring its sovereignty.

It is my conviction that you will continue to work properly and promptly to address the challenging tasks of securing this republic’s economic interests, that you will serve loyally to the Fatherland, applying your efforts to consolidate its positions in the world.

On this remarkable day, I wish for all the active members and veterans of the customs bodies and members of their families to be healthy, happy, optimistic, and continue to work fruitfully for the good of the Republic of Belarus.
