| 164 agrarian population centres came into being in Belarus last year. More than 240 of such centres will be built this year. | Creation and Activities Process of Trade Unions Considerably Simplified |
| With a view to implementing the approaches specified in the 2006 State of the Nation Address of the President of the Republic of Belarus to the Belarusian people and the National Assembly and aimed at the development of trade union movement in our country, the Head of State has approved the concept of the draft of a new Law of the Republic of Belarus “On Trade Unions.” On October 6, he signed into action Decree No 605 “On some issues of the state registration of public amalgamations and their unions (associations).” |

On October 13, the President of the Republic of Belarus signed into action Decree No 615 “On appraisal activities in the Republic of Belarus.”
The document envisages the setting up of an integrated system to control appraisal activities in the Republic of Belarus on the basis of the strict regulation of the authority of all the legal-right holders, and, primarily, based on the delimitation of the competence of the Head of State, the Government, and the republican bodies of state administration in this area of activities.
In this connection, the Decree rules that the President of the Republic of Belarus shall determine the state policy in the field of appraisal activities, the Government shall implement this policy, shall exercise control over the work of the republican bodies of state administration in this field, shall specify the methods for appraisal of the objects of civil rights in carrying out certain types of transactions with them. |
