President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has expressed condolences to relatives and friends of the People's Artist of Belarus, Yakov Naumenko, in connection with his passing.

"The entire life of Yakov Naumenko was dedicated to serving the national culture. He was rightly called the Belarusian nightingale and the golden voice in the modern popular singing world. Having huge talent, splendid singing skills and unflagging creative energy, this wonderful artist always delighted us with his art," the message of condolences reads.

"The blessed memory of Yakov Pavlovich Naumenko, a great artist and a true person, will remain in the hearts of Belarusians forever," Alexander Lukashenko noted.
