On 30 May President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed Decree No. 246 on introducing additions and amendments to a number of decrees.
The document envisages the principle of one-time provision of state support (preferential loans or one-time subsidies) to citizens and their family members who improve their living conditions, except for the families with many children.
One-time subsidies to repay preferential loans provided to young families and citizens permanently residing in rural areas will no longer be provided.
Preferences envisaged by Decree No. 13 of 6 January 2012 provided to the people permanently residing and working in towns with the population of up to 20,000 will be also provided to the people who build housing in satellite towns regardless of the number of population in these towns.
The decree shall enter into force on 1 June 2013.
