On conferment of the State Prizes of the Republic of Belarus for 2016

Decree No. 104 of 4 April 2017
Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has signed the decree on awarding state prizes for the year 2016 accomplishments.

Employees of Minsk City Clinical Hospital No.9 and the national applied research center Cardiology have been awarded the state prize in the area of science and technology for developing and assimilating technologies for organ transplantation for children and adults. The number includes Oleg Rummo, Yuri Ostrovsky, Alexander Dzyadko, Oleg Kalachik, Alexei Shcherba, and Andrei Valentyukevich.

Employees of the Belarusian electronics companies OAO Integral (Vitaly Solodukha and Sergei Shvedov) and OAO Planar (Valery Zaitsev and Gennady Kovalchuk), and representatives of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (Sergei Grabchikov and Sergei Chizhik) have been awarded for developing and starting the commercial production of export-oriented dual-use and special-use microelectronics devices using modern design methods, semiconductor technologies, and high-precision analysis and assembly equipment.

A number of employees of the National Academic Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theater of Belarus have been awarded the state prize in the area of literature, art, and architecture for considerable creative accomplishments in the development of musical art, promotion of spiritual values and great personal contributions to the production of the Sedaya Legenda opera featuring music by Dmitry Smolsky and inspired by Vladimir Korotkevich’s work. The number includes Oxana Volkova, Anastasia Moskvina, Stanislav Trifonov, Sergei Frankovsky, Nina Lomanovich, and Alexander Kostyuchenko.

The composer Vladimir Kondrusevich has been awarded for outstanding accomplishments in the area of theater and music art, for creating music for the ballet Mefisto, the musicals Stakan Vody, Dzhuliya, Sofya Golshanskaya, and Baiker.

These works represent the most important and best accomplishments of Belarus in science and technology, in art and culture. They have been recognized by the general public in Belarus and the international community. They boast originality, economic effectiveness or social value.
