On Introducing Amendments and Additions to Ordinance No. 1 of the President of the Republic of Belarus of 16 January 2009

Ordinance No. 5 of 27 June 2011
The new Ordinance allows legal entities and individual entrepreneurs to register electronically. It sets forth that state registration papers may be submitted to the registration authority not only by bringing them personally but also by submitting them in their electronic version (via the dedicated Internet portal).

For the citizens whose registration as individual entrepreneurs has been annulled because they have violated the rules of business operation, the Ordinance makes it possible to apply for such registration three years after the annulment decision was taken. Thus, the new document lifts the ban, which has been in place until now, on re-registration by citizens, whose state registration was annulled due to such violations, as individual entrepreneurs.

The information on the liquidation of business entities will no longer be published in the Respublika newspaper but in the supplement to the Justice of Belarus Magazine instead, as well as will be posted on the website of the Ministry of Justice. This way the information will be communicated to the relevant stakeholders, and the process of publicizing this information will become easier and cheaper.

As a whole, the Ordinance is aimed at stimulating the entrepreneurship initiative and business activity and further development of the application-based principle of state registration of business entities.
