On Raising Pensions
Decree No. 35 of 16 January 2012
President of the Republic of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko signed Decree No. 35 "On Raising Pensions" on 16 January.
The document aims to provide material support to elderly people. In accordance with the Decree, as from 1 January 2012 labor pensions for the people older than 75 years will increase by 75% of the minimal labor pension.
Labor pensions for the people older than 80 years will increase by 100% of the minimal labor pension.
Thus, the increase in labor pensions for the people older than 75 years will make up Br107,800; for the people older than 80 years - Br143,700.
