Telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin

    Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko had a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin on the initiative of the Russian leader on 29 June.  

    The heads of state discussed the further development of trade and economic cooperation and expressed confidence in the effective implementation of the agreements reached at the recent meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Belarus-Russia Union State.

    The presidents also touched on the sports theme. Aleksandr Lukashenko praised the high level of the organization of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia and the positive feedback from foreign fans. The Belarusian President also wished the Russian team success in the match against Spain in Luzhniki on 1 July.
