Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko will hold talks with Sudan President Omar Hassan Ahmad al-Bashir, who is on an official visit to Belarus, on 10 December.
The heads of state will take stock of the progress made in the implementation of the agreements reached during the visit of the Belarusian leader to Khartoum in January 2017, and also the subsequent Belarusian-Sudanese contacts at other levels. The focus will be on the most promising areas for further development of trade and economic cooperation, including industrial cooperation, agriculture, energy, mining, and humanitarian activities.
The talks, which will be held in the Palace of Independence, will also raise issues of political interaction between Belarus and Sudan. The presidents will discuss international issues.
Alexander Lukashenko and Omar Hassan Ahmad al-Bashir are expected to adopt a joint statement after the talks. A number of international documents on cooperation in various areas will be signed in their presence.
