Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko attended the session of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in Sochi.

The event was preceded by a traditional photo opportunity. The leaders discussed the matters in informatization, customs regulation, competition, natural monopolies, industrial cooperation and international activities.

The EAEU leaders approved the EAEU digital agenda guidelines until 2025 and reviewed the EAEU guidelines of international activities in 2018. The presidents were informed on the status of ratification of the EAEU Customs Code which is to come into force on 1 January 2018.

The agenda of the meeting included a resolution to prepare the road map to approximate national laws governing natural monopolies. Another issue on the agenda was the cooperation of the EAEU countries in the provision of space and geo-information services with the use of the national sources of remote sensing of the Earth.

A decision was made that Russian will take the presidency in the EAUA bodies in 2018.

After the session the heads of state signed a package of documents to promote cooperation in various fields.
