Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko held a working meeting with Head of the Belarus President Property Management Directorate Viktor Sheiman on 23 December.

The President was informed about the preliminary results for the year in the work of the organizations and enterprises affiliated with the Belarus President Property Management Directorate. The trend is positive, the results are better than a year earlier. Thus, the revenue from the sale of products is expected to exceed Br1.8 billion, foreign trade in goods and services -  $300 million. The number of loss-making enterprises has been reduced three times.

Viktor Sheiman also reported on the new promising areas of work, including the launch of a plastic skis manufacturing facility.

As Viktor Sheiman also oversees the cooperation with African countries, the progress in the construction of a number of joint ventures was reviewed during the meeting.

Another topic on the agenda was personnel issues in the system of Belarus President Property Management Directorate.

Aleksandr Lukashenko noted that the New Year holidays is a busy period for the Belarus President Property Management Directorate. “The demand, if I may say so, for the President is very high during this time. These are pleasant responsibilities, though they require a fair amount of physical activity," he said. “The directorate is under a lot of pressure during these events,” he added.

The head of state noted that these include both traditional state-wide events, for example, the Our Children charity campaign, and also the new ones. Among the latter is the Vienna Ball, which is scheduled to be held at the Palace of Independence on Saturday, 28 December. “I am grateful to Austrians that they have suggested such an event. They spotted the Palace of Independence, this huge hall for ceremonial events a long time ago (several years ago). We decided to host the Vienna Ball with their participation. They will organize it. We will help,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.
