Ladutko, Fasel, Vorsin receive state awards for 2014 IIHF World Championship in Minsk

    Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko conferred state awards on 11 people in recognition of a considerable personal contribution to the preparation for and organization of the 2014 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship in Minsk. The Belarusian head of state signed the relevant decree on 4 September.

    The Order of the Fatherland 3rd Class was bestowed upon Minsk Mayor Nikolai Ladutko.

    The Order for Service to the Homeland 3rd Class went to head of the main interior department of the Minsk City Hall Major General Alexander Barsukov, First Deputy Chairman of the State Border Committee Major General Igor Butkevich, head of the surveillance and protective measures department of the Emergencies Ministry Colonel Vladimir Rafalsky.

    President of the International Ice Hockey Federation Rene Fasel received the Order of People’s Friendship.

    The Order of Honor was bestowed upon Chairman of the Belarusian Ice Hockey Federation Yevgeny Vorsin.

    The Order for Labor Service was given to head of the administration of Zavodskoi District of Minsk Oleg Zhoglo, head of the consumer and hotel services department of the Minsk City Hall Andrei Novikov, Deputy Education Minister Sergei Rudy, first deputy head of the main department of ideology, culture and youth affairs under the Minsk City Hall Vitalina Rudikova, Deputy Director General of Minskpromstroi Vladimir Tarasevich.
